Fantasy FC FPL Live upgrades are based on standard Fantasy Premier League scoring. Points are earned from goals, assists, clean sheets, saves and — new for 2025/26 — defensive contributions. Players can also earn bonus points via the Bonus Points System (BPS).
Clean Sheets
Players who are subbed off before their team concedes still keep their clean sheet points, as long as they were on the pitch for at least 60 minutes.
Assists
Passes
The last player to pass or touch the ball before a goal counts as the assister. A deflection off a defender doesn't cancel the assist as long as there's only one defensive touch and the scorer picks up the ball inside the box. For balls received outside the box, the deflection can't meaningfully change where the pass was headed. No assist is given if the scorer loses possession and wins it back before finishing.
Rebounds
When a shot gets saved, blocked, or comes off the woodwork and someone buries the rebound, the original shooter picks up the assist.
Own Goals
Forcing an opponent into scoring an own goal — whether through a shot or a pass — still earns an assist.
Penalties & Free-Kicks
The player who wins a penalty or free-kick gets the assist when a goal is scored directly from it — unless they're also the one taking the kick.
Bonus Points
After each match, the top three performers (based on the Bonus Points System) receive extra points: 3 for the best player, 2 for second, and 1 for third. When players are tied on BPS score, they share the higher bonus — meaning more than three players can earn bonus in a single match.
Defensive ContributionsNew
A brand new category for this season. Defenders pick up 2 points for every 10 defensive actions (tackles, interceptions, blocks, etc.), while midfielders and forwards need 12 defensive actions to earn the same 2-point reward.
