Revealed July 2026Ultimate Team is eighteen years old, and EA have made a new Player Item type for the players who became famous inside it, or in their own words, Ultimate Team's iconic players on the virtual pitch. EA announced the first five on 23 July 2026, all rated 84 or 85, and the Ultimate Plus Edition comes with a Player Pick of one of them.
It is a new Player Item type in EA FC 27 Ultimate Team, made for the players EA call Ultimate Team's iconic players on the virtual pitch.
Over eighteen years of Ultimate Team the community built a canon of its own, and these five players are in it. Akinfenwa bullied centre backs off the ball, Elia and Rémy ran in behind everyone, dos Santos kept the ball glued to his feet and Fellaini won every header in the box. Those are the cards people kept coming back to season after season.
Hall of FUT players go in for what their cards meant inside the game, which EA call FUT Fame, and they reckon the memories those cards created have earned an item of their own.
EA have described Hall of FUT as a new tier of historical items that sits below ICONs and Heroes, and they are splitting it in two. The Base items are exclusive to the FUT Gallery, so the Gallery Token Store is the only place you can earn one.
You get the Tokens by filling Sets and grading them, and EA are updating what the store sells across the year. Special versions of these same players are separate, and EA are releasing those through Campaigns during the year instead.
The Player Pick in the Ultimate Plus Edition sits outside both of those, because it hands you one of the five at launch without any of the collecting.
EA announced all five on 23 July 2026, and four of them are 84 while Fellaini is the only 85 and the only central midfielder. EA call them the inaugural class and have said that more are coming. The cards below are EA's official renders.
Everyone knows him as the Beast, and he earned it across close to 700 club appearances that took him out of North London to his best years at Northampton Town and Wycombe Wanderers. His physical game translated into a Physicality stat that nobody else got near, and two of his cards, a Hero item and an SBC for the end of his career, ran 99.

He is six foot four before you count the afro, and he spent over a decade starting in the Premier League for Everton and Manchester United while he played regularly for Belgium. That frame gave him one of the highest Physicality ratings in the game for a while, and his Rulebreakers card kept all of it while adding pace he had no business having.

Veterans bought his Gold Rare early year after year, because the pace came with links into both Ligue 1 and the France squad. He won a Ligue 1 title, three Trophée des Champions and two Coupe de la Ligue, and he was at Chelsea for the 2014-15 Premier League win. His Moments SBC card late on leaned on acceleration, four-star skills and finishing.

The Dutch Surinamese winger started and finished at his boyhood Eredivisie club, and he went through the Bundesliga, Serie A and the Premier League in between to reach close to 500 appearances. His Gold card sat at 90 Pace or above for years and carried four-star skills with it.

He came out of Barcelona's youth setup as one of Mexico's wonderkids, rated at 92 potential in Career Mode. From there he went to Tottenham and out on loan, then to Mallorca and Villarreal, and then to LA Galaxy as their first Mexican star since the early 2000s, before he finished at Club América with over 100 caps behind him.

Adebayo Akinfenwa

Akinfenwa has had 23 cards between FIFA 10 and FIFA 22, peaking at 90 overall. EA have called him a community icon and made him the first name in the Hall of FUT.

Fellaini has had 34 cards between FIFA 10 and EA FC 24, peaking at 91 overall. EA have confirmed that the Hall of FUT item keeps the afro, which was the first thing anyone asked.

Rémy has had 24 cards between FIFA 10 and FIFA 22, peaking at 86 overall. EA point anyone who wants to understand the pace towards the goal he hit for QPR against Wigan in 2013.

Elia has had 18 cards between FIFA 10 and FIFA 21, peaking at 87 overall. People remember him for the heel-to-heel flicks and ball rolls down the touchline before the finish, and his best items always landed around 91 Pace with 87 Dribbling.

dos Santos has had 24 cards between FIFA 10 and FIFA 21, peaking at 87 overall. He combines pace and superb shooting with four-star skills and a four-star weak foot, and his 88 Dribbling is the highest of the five. EA are openly pitching him at anyone building an El Tri squad across eras.

Only the Ultimate Plus Edition has a date on it, and everything else EA have confirmed is still without a timeline.
The edition comes with a Hall of FUT Player Pick that is 1 of 5, so you choose one of Akinfenwa, Fellaini, Rémy, Elia and dos Santos. It is only available through 31 August 2026.
You also get an untradeable International ICON rated 85 or higher, 10,000 FC Points spread over five monthly drops, and Seasons 1 to 5 of the Premium Pass.
Base Hall of FUT items are exclusive to the FUT Gallery, and the Token Store is the only place you can earn one. You fill Sets and grade them to earn Gallery Tokens, then spend those, and EA are updating the store throughout the year.
Special versions of the Hall of FUT players are coming through Campaigns across the year, separately from the Base items. EA have not said which Campaigns or when.
These five are only the inaugural class, because EA say that more are coming closer to launch, although they have named none of them so far.
EA have published nothing on how these items link, whether they are tradeable, or how they behave in SBCs, which means that any pricing or chemistry claim you see right now is somebody guessing.
