Liga F TOTS Predicted Starting Squad
With Barcelona recording 84 points from 30 matches and Real Madrid managing 76, 18 ahead of third place, it was always likely to be a side dominated by the two runaway leaders. In fact, just three players make the side from outside those two clubs, with plenty of meta options to get excited about.
GK: Lola Gallardo (Atletico Madrid) - 80 OVR -> 91 OVR:
Gallardo was shortlisted for a TOTY inclusion, which shows that EA already rate her highly. She went on to record the most clean sheets in Liga F with fifteen, an impressive one every two games. Not only that, but she had far more to do than the keepers at both Barcelona and Madrid, making the decision for this position extremely straightforward.
RB: Ona Batlle (Barcelona) - 85 OVR -> 92 OVR:
Onto the first of many Barcelona players in this prediction, and with the Spanish side dominating throughout, it comes as no surprise. Batlle contributed at both ends of the pitch, with Barcelona achieving the best defensive record in the division by conceding just nineteen goals. She also added four goals and eight assists to her name.
CB: Lauren (Atletico Madrid) - 79 OVR -> 91 OVR:
We have to move away from both Barcelona and Real Madrid in some capacity, and I feel the central defensive position is one of the best ways to do that. Lauren received two in-form cards this season, which is no easy feat in Liga F. Atlético Madrid have the second-best defensive record in the division, and the Brazilian has also chipped in with two goals.
LB: Olga Carmona (Real Madrid) - 83 OVR -> 93 OVR:
Another side that features heavily in this prediction is Real Madrid. They were the only team to remotely compete with Barcelona this season, even beating them for the first time in their history. Carmona was dominant from the left-back position, contributing five goals and four assists. Another easy addition to this side.
LW: Claudia Pina (Barcelona) - 83 OVR -> 92 OVR:
From this point onwards, it becomes extremely difficult to ignore Barcelona players, and that is reflected in the selections made. First up is Pina, who recorded ten goals and seven assists. While she may be one of the weaker Barcelona players included, she is still incomparable to others in this position.
CM: Aitana Bonmati (Barcelona) - 91 OVR -> 98 OVR:
Having won back-to-back Ballon d'Or Féminin awards, Bonmatí is undoubtedly the best female player in the world right now. Her talent never fails to amaze, and her twelve goals and six assists only scratch the surface of what she brings to the team, controlling the majority of matches throughout.
CM: Alexia Putellas (Barcelona) - 90 OVR -> 97 OVR:
Speaking of Ballon d'Or Féminin winners, before Bonmatí there was Putellas, meaning the past four years have been dominated by Barcelona midfielders. It’s no wonder they continue to lead the way in the women’s game. Putellas has looked back to her best this campaign, with sixteen goals and eleven assists, making her arguably the best player in the division this season.
RW: Caroline Graham Hansen (Barcelona) - 90 OVR -> 98 OVR:
One of the most popular players since the introduction of female players into the game has been Hansen. She is one of the most meta players available, and with her TOTY card setting you back just shy of a million coins, I would expect this one to exceed that. With eleven goals and ten assists from the right, her inclusion in this side is inevitable.
CAM: Caroline Weir (Real Madrid) - 84 OVR -> 94 OVR:
While it is difficult to include non-Barcelona players in this prediction, one who has stood out is Weir. The Scottish midfielder has recorded ten goals and eight assists this season, including a double against Barcelona, which alone could earn her a Moments inclusion. One way or another, I expect Weir to feature.
ST: Ewa Pajor (Barcelona) - 87 OVR -> 96 OVR:
The final Barcelona player making the cut is, of course, Pajor. The Polish striker has run away with the Golden Boot this season, scoring an impressive twenty-five goals and providing ten assists. These statistics mean she has averaged more than one goal contribution per game. She surely has to be one of the front runners for the Ballon d'Or Féminin.
ST: Alba Redondo (Real Madrid) - 84 OVR -> 92 OVR:
With fifteen goals, Redondo was the fourth-highest scorer in the division. With a decent upgrade, this card could be a very usable one, especially as a Spanish striker from Madrid offers plenty of strong link opportunities. While she is not guaranteed a spot, I would be surprised if she does not receive a TOTS inclusion.
ST: Edna Imade (Granada) - 69 OVR -> 91 OVR:
Imade has really made her mark in Liga F this season, scoring sixteen goals for Granada, which, outside of the free scoring sides at the top, is quite the achievement. Her performances have already earned her a POTM inclusion, and a TOTS is now likely just around the corner.
