The power of this tactic comes with the creative runs the players make. As the LB overlaps, the LW will tuck inside, almost like a second striker. Meanwhile, the ST on default instructions will go wherever he feels best. When the ST moves into those positions, the CAM will show for passes in the vacant middle spaces. On the right side, the RW stays wider, because there is no overlapping RB, and because it gives room for the RDM to make late runs into the box from deep.
