What are PlayStyles in EA Sports FC 24?

EA Sports FC brings us a new way to bring ourselves closer to the uniqueness of our players with PlayStyles.

Completing the Trinity with the Frostbite Engine and Hypermotion V, PlayStyles allows EA Sports FC to bring realism to our gameplay.

Each player has their own way to play the game and EA Sports FC translates that into the pitch using these styles that bring a speciality to our players that reflect their real life performances.

Here we discuss everything we know about the newest feature in EA Sports FC.

What are PlayStyles?

PlayStyles are new dynamic traits and abilities assigned to players in EA Sports FC 24 that are a reflection of their abilities in real life.

PlayStyles are a collaborative initiative between EA Sports FC and Opta - an industry leader in player data analysis for over 25 years.

Using the analytical data from Opta EA Sports FC brings signature player styles to the game and allows us to build better squads with our knowledge of how these players play in real life.

With PlayStyles also comes the addition of PlayStyles+. PlayStyles+ takes this to a whole new level in terms of effectiveness and exclusivity.

With only select players having PlayStyle+ abilities each one being unique to that player’s style it will make your squad selection and gameplay even more immersive.

PlayStyle+ are visible on the Player Item so it’s easy to know what they’re known for and how they’ll stand out.

Can PlayStyles be changed or upgraded?

For most players this would not be the case but with the introduction of Player Evolutions in EA Sports FC Ultimate Team there is some room for changing PlayStyles of players.

Player Evolution cards will have the ability to assign unique PlayStyles and change them based on the objectives completed in various game modes throughout the player’s evolutionary path in game.
