With the launch of EA Sports FC 27 on the horizon, EA has confirmed a brand-new Player Item type coming to Ultimate Team: the Hall of FUT.
Rather than focusing solely on the all-time greats who earn traditional ICON cards, the Hall of FUT is designed to honor the cult heroes, fan favorites, and unlikely legends who defined Ultimate Team culture over the last 18 years.
What is the Hall of FUT in EA FC 27?
According to EA's official deep dive, Hall of FUT players are considered "Ultimate Team’s iconic players on the virtual pitch."
While real-world achievements matter, these cards are specifically reserved for players who created incredible memories for the community inside the game. Think of the players who had overpowering physical stats, blistering pace, or signature animations that made them mainstays in early FUT squads.
While EA will reveal more Hall of FUT inductees closer to the September launch, they have already announced the five inaugural members of this new rarity class.
EA FC 27 Hall of FUT: The Inaugural Class
The first five players confirmed for the Hall of FUT are all absolute Ultimate Team legends. Here is a look at who made the cut:
- Adebayo Akinfenwa: Known simply as "The Beast," Akinfenwa is perhaps the most iconic physical striker in FUT history. EA has confirmed his Hall of FUT card will honor his legacy as a community favorite who routinely boasted 99 Strength on his special items.
- Marouane Fellaini: The towering Belgian midfielder dominated the center of the pitch for over a decade in the Premier League. His Hall of FUT item will celebrate his physical, box-to-box dominance, and EA has officially confirmed the card will feature his signature afro in-game.
- Loïc Rémy: A staple of early Ultimate Team squads, Rémy was the definition of blistering pace. His Hall of FUT card will honor his famous acceleration, finishing, and his vital links to French and Ligue 1 players that made him a must-have striker.
- Eljero Elia: The Dutch winger was a nightmare for defenders on the touchline. EA is bringing him into the Hall of FUT to celebrate his history of 90+ Pace items, four-star skills, and incredible dribbling stats.
- Giovani Dos Santos: An absolute menace in the attacking third, Dos Santos is remembered by the community for his deadly combination of pace, four-star skills, and a four-star weak foot.
How to get a Hall of FUT player in EA FC 27
EA has confirmed that there will be multiple ways to add Hall of FUT players to your squad once the game launches, with more details coming later this summer.
However, if you want to secure one on day one, you can unlock a 1 of 5 Hall of FUT Direct Player Pick by pre-ordering the EA FC 27 Ultimate Plus Edition. This edition is only available during the early bird pre-order window, which closes on August 31, 2026.
If you pre-order the Ultimate Plus Edition, you will get to choose one of the five inaugural members to add directly to your club at launch: Akinfenwa, Fellaini, Rémy, Elia, or Dos Santos.
