How Holographic Items work
A Holographic Item is a rarer version of a special Item. When an eligible special Item is in a pack, a Holographic version of that same Item may be in the pack too. The player and their in-match Attributes are identical to the standard version, so what changes is the rarity and the way the card looks.
EA FC 27 has two Holographic types. A Regular Holographic Item has the animated foil effect, while a Pristine Holographic Item adds a more premium look and shows the player's name in a stylised font under the portrait. Each eligible Item only ever gets one Holographic version, either Regular or Pristine, so there is no pair to collect.
Holographic Items come out of packs when an eligible special Item is available, and Gallery Level milestones can award them too. Because they are rarer than the standard version, they contribute more to a FUT Gallery Set's score. Once you own one you can use it in your squad, display it in the Gallery, or sell it on the Transfer Market.

What are Holographic Items in EA FC 27?
Holographic Items are rarer versions of special Items such as Team of the Week, Icons and Heroes. The player and their Attributes match the standard Item, and the card carries an animated foil finish. EA introduced them in FC 27 alongside the FUT Gallery.
What is the difference between Regular and Pristine Holographic?
Both types have the animated foil. A Pristine Holographic Item adds a more premium presentation and prints the player's name in a stylised signature font under the portrait, which is the quickest way to tell the two apart. Each eligible Item only ever has one of the two versions.
Do Holographic cards have better stats?
No. EA have confirmed the player and their in-match Attributes are the same as the standard Item. The differences are the rarity, the visual finish and the higher score the Item contributes to a FUT Gallery Set.
How do you get Holographic cards in FC 27?
They come from packs, where an eligible special Item may appear as its Holographic version, and from Gallery Level milestone rewards. Tradeable ones can also be bought on the Transfer Market.
How many Holographic cards are there in FC 27?
