The top performers of the year deserve some of the best versions in Ultimate Team, it's time to prepare Team of the Year in FC 25.

When does Team of the Year start in EA FC 26?

While we don't have confirmation yet here are the tentative dates to look out for Team of the Year:

• January 6th: Team of the Year Voting Starts! (Live Now)
• January 13th: Team of the Year Warmup
• January 16th: Team of the Year Attackers Release
• January 18th: Team of the Year Midfielders Release
• January 20th: Team of the Year Defenders Release
• January 22nd: Team of the Year FULL Release
• January 23rd: Team of the Year 12th Man Release

What to expect during Team of the Year?

Positional releases are usually followed by position specific upgrades, store packs as well as daily Lightning Rounds to bring TOTY players to the market.

The full release gives us the perfect gauntlet of menu grinding upgrade SBCs, daily upgrades, packs, player picks, exchange SBCs as well as campaign upgrades.

Honourable Mentions selected from the nominee pools are always available through Objectives and SBCs which is something to look forward to alongside major TOTY Icon and Hero SBCs.

Last year introduced the most expensive paid evolution to make your own Team of the Year attacker as well as a make-your-own TOTY CB evolution chain which was immensely popular and should make a return in FC 26.

With the introductions of Live Events, Tournaments and Ultimate Gauntlets in FC 26, we should see some really good objective rewards for packs and players. Icon Swaps are rumoured to return this year too.

How to Prepare for TOTY in FC 26

Keeping your club healthy in terms of fodder and packs is essential to get the full TOTY experience and give yourself the best chance to pack one of the big players while upgrading your team. Here is what you can do:

• With about a week and a half to go before the festivities start, it's time to save the good player packs in your club
  • Packs that offer a minimum of 83-Rated players OR 10+ players
• Keep your tradable stock of 84-87-Rated Team of the Week and Campaign Promo players
  • You will need the TOTWs for SBCs and old promo cards that fit the right evos are known to fly in price
• Complete the currently available daily upgrades and build up your club with fodder while using up duplicates
  • This way you can gather up players that might be valuable in the upgrade and challenge SBCs released during the promo
• Don't keep too many expensive tradable players in your club, use untradables where you can
  • With so many packs being opened, high rated players entering the market and the upgrade SBCs helping improve teams, prices tend to crash during the promo for usable players and this helps minimize the loss for your club
