La Liga TOTS Predicted Starting XI

La Liga has often been highly anticipated and this season is no different, with most of your meta players featuring within this squad. Whether that is Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, Federico Valverde or Marcos Llorente, there are plenty of players you can only dream of packing.

GK: Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid) - 89 OVR -> 95 OVR:

Thibaut Courtois has a reputation for being one of the best goalkeepers in the world and has maintained that level for quite some time, so it is no surprise that he regularly features within La Liga TOTS sides. With the starting eleven being vote-based, that reputation alone earns him a huge number of selections and, while he has also been among the better performers in the division this season, that ultimately secures his place in this side.

LB: Alvaro Carreras (Real Madrid) - 80 OVR -> 94 OVR:

Álvaro Carreras has been one of the standout full-backs in La Liga this season, firmly establishing himself as a reliable option on the left-hand side. Consistent both defensively and going forward, the Spaniard has the potential to lock down that LB role for Madrid for the next decade. His position in this season’s side is not up for debate.

CB: Pau Cubarsi (Barcelona) - 82 OVR -> 94 OVR:

Pau Cubarsí broke onto the scene last year for Barcelona and already looks a natural in that CB role despite being just 19 years of age. When you think of Barcelona centre-backs in recent times, Carles Puyol and Gerard Piqué immediately come to mind. Cubarsí now has the potential to build upon that legacy.

CB: David Hancko (Atletico Madrid) - 83 OVR -> 93 OVR:

There are a lot of names you typically would not associate with the very top level and, with Dávid Hancko being a regular feature within EA promotions over the past couple of seasons, many are now familiar with him. I feel that works in his favour for this selection process and, while he may not be the most deserving purely on performances, the voting system could well see him included.

RB: Marcos Llorente (Atletico Madrid) - 84 OVR -> 93 OVR:

Talking of popular options we move onto Marcos Llorente. I have seen very few selected elevens without his inclusion and that makes sense given how popular he is in game. The Spaniard has also been among the best defenders in the division, so those two factors combined make him a lock for this TOTS.

CM: Pedri (Barcelona) - 89 OVR -> 95 OVR:

Pedri is widely regarded as one of the best central midfielders in the world right now, so it comes as no surprise that he features in this side. With eight assists in La Liga, he is among the highest in that metric and continues to control games for Barcelona. With a TOTY inclusion, it is always likely that translates into a TOTS spot but, with Pedri, that is more than deserved.

CM: Federico Valverde (Real Madrid) - 89 OVR -> 95 OVR:

Onto another popular in-game option now with Federico Valverde. The Uruguayan consistently receives numerous promotional inclusions over the course of the cycle and is already on five in FC 26. Another feels inevitable after he recorded five goals and eight assists for Madrid this campaign.

CAM: Fermin Lopez (Barcelona) - 80 OVR -> 94 OVR:

Fermín López is another example of Barcelona producing top young talent at an incredible rate. Building on his performances from last season, he has established himself as a regular during this campaign. The young Spaniard recorded six goals and nine assists throughout the 2025/26 La Liga season, underlining his growing importance within the squad.

ST:Vini Jr (Real Madrid) - 89 OVR -> 95 OVR:

Onto the expected big three now, starting with Vinícius Júnior. The Brazilian has recorded fifteen goals and five assists, alongside winning a number of penalties. His pace continues to cause significant issues for defences and, while this may not have been his very best season in a Madrid shirt, he has still done more than enough to be included in this squad regardless of the vote.

ST: Kylian Mbappe (Real Madrid) - 91 OVR -> 96 OVR:

Kylian Mbappé is the league’s top goalscorer this season with twenty four to his name and has averaged an attacking return in every match, with twenty eight in twenty eight. While Mbappé may not have fully lived up to the Cristiano Ronaldo / Lionel Messi comparisons he received early in his career, he remains among the very best in the modern game.

RW:Lamine Yamal (Barcelona) - 89 OVR -> 96 OVR:

The early signs of a Lamine Yamal era continue to be there with another superb season from the 18-year-old. Recording a league-high eleven assists alongside sixteen goals of his own, Yamal has been the standout player within this highly talented Barcelona side. Time will tell just how much he can win in his career but his early trajectory is unlike anything we have seen before.

TOTW 30 Predicted Subs & Breakthrough Stars

GK: Joan Garcia (Barcelona) - 83 OVR -> 92 OVR:

For me the best keeper in the division this season has been Joan García. He does not have that same star pull as Thibaut Courtois so, while I expect him to miss out in the vote, I cannot see a scenario where he does not make EA’s full side. Leading the way in both clean sheets and save percentage is always a clear indicator of an outstanding season for a goalkeeper.

RB: Santiago Mourino (Villarreal) - 74 OVR -> 91 OVR:

Villarreal currently sit in third position but, when it comes to TOTS options, they are rather limited. The squad as a whole has impressed though and I would still expect at least a couple of inclusions. I have taken a punt on Santiago Mouriño, potentially as a breakthrough star. With limited options in the shortlist, this feels like the most logical gamble.

LM: Moleiro (Villarreal) - 79 OVR -> 92 OVR:

Onto the other Villarreal option I have opted for now in Alberto Moleiro. This one feels nailed on however, with two IFs and a Future Stars inclusion he has clearly already caught EA’s attention and, with ten goals and four assists from LM this season, it is easy to see why that is the case.

CAM: Arder Guler (Real Madrid) - 81 OVR -> 94 OVR:

Arda Güler is probably a fringe option here but, with the reputation and pull he has in terms of overall interest, I cannot see EA leaving him out one way or another. He has been a real creative spark within that Madrid side and currently sits joint second in the assist charts with nine to his name.

LW: Raphinha (Barcelona) - 89 OVR -> 95 OVR:

Raphinha has played fewer minutes than many options for this side but his impact when on the pitch has been clear. Making twenty appearances, the Brazilian has eleven goals and three assists to his name. I have already covered the impact of a TOTY inclusion when it comes to TOTS and I fully expect that to come into play with this one.

CAM: Pablo Fornals (Real Betis) - 79 OVR -> 91 OVR:

Real Betis are firmly in the battle for a top four position in La Liga this season with a couple of players standing out, one of those being Pablo Fornals. The Spaniard has featured both at CAM and CDM throughout the campaign, with the former being his more common role. With seven goals and five assists, he has been a consistent attacking threat for them.

LM: Abdessamad Ezzalzouli (Real Betis) - 77 OVR -> 91 OVR:

I was very surprised not to see Abde Ezzalzouli in the shortlist from EA but, to me, that suggests he could be included as a breakthrough option. With eight goals and eight assists, it has been a hugely impressive season from the Moroccan.

ST: Ferran Torres (Barcelona) - 83 OVR -> 92 OVR:

There are already a lot of players from both Barcelona and Real Madrid included in this side and that could work against an inclusion for Ferran Torres but, in terms of who deserves to be there, he is one of them. With fifteen goals to his name, he is among the league’s top scorers and not all of those appearances have come from the ST position.

ST: Oyarzabal (Real Sociedad) - 82 OVR -> 91 OVR:

Another fringe ST option now in Mikel Oyarzabal. With fourteen goals and three assists to his name, he is largely on par with other options and has often been snubbed by EA in previous seasons. Now, with a bigger squad for each division, I would expect Oyarzabal to finally receive a TOTS inclusion.

ST: Vedat Muriqi (Mallorca) - 79 OVR -> 93 OVR:

Finishing the squad we have two more obscure names, starting with Mallorca’s Vedat Muriqi. The veteran striker has been one of the standout players this season, scoring half of Mallorca’s goals with an impressive twenty one to his name, which is ultimately the reason why they remain in the division for next season.

ST: Ante Budimir (Osasuna) - 82 OVR -> 91 OVR:

Ante Budimir often scores goals in La Liga but has largely missed out on TOTS due to limited spots. Now that EA have expanded the main sides, I feel he should be included. With sixteen goals this season, the Croatian has taken his total to seventy in 162 appearances for the club, a great servant for them.
