The former FC Barcelona and AC Milan legend has always felt a little underwhelming in game despite his amazing stats due to a few factors missing in his card but things have now changed with him getting the classic FUT Birthday glow-up. He has a lot of meta characteristics such as:
- 89 Acceleration and 90 Sprint Speed with his Controlled AcceleRATE type is very good Pace for an attacker
- Elite Shooting stats with 92 Positioning, 90 Finishing, 95 Shot Power, 95 Long Shots, and 93 Volleys with his Finesse Shot trait give him the ability to bang goals both inside and outside the box
- Top tier Passing stats with 89 Vision, 90 Crossing, 93 Free-kick Accuracy, 90 Short Passing, 85 Long Passing and 95 Curve allow him to distribute the ball in the final third from any area of the pitch
- His Dribbling is high tier with 91 Agility, 94 Reactions, 95 Ball Control, 93 Dribbling and 93 Composure allowing him to keep the ball and weave his way past player with efficiency
- His combination of 4-Star Skill Moves and 5-Star Weak Foot give him the ability to carry out meta skill moves and execute shots/passes with both feet
- 86 Stamina will allow him to play 75 minutes or more per game which is good enough for an attacker
His ideal position in game will be as a secondary ST or a CF in a 4-4-1-1 or an CF in a 4-3-2-1/3-4-2-1. His ability to score and shoot anywhere from inside the box and outside while being able to find a pass for other attackers makes him ideal for these roles.
He has a similar player profile to that of TOTY Icon Robert Pires and FUT Heroes David Ginola. They have very good stats but are clunkier in game due to their body types. They are all elite attackers.
He has some drawbacks such as:
- He has the High and Average+ body type which makes him very clunky in game
- 80 Balance is too low to compensate for his body type
- 76 Jumping and 79 Heading Accuracy despite his 6’1 height makes him a poor aerial option
- 63 Aggression is quite low and will make it so he won’t be quick to react to loose balls and 50/50’s
- Medium/Low workrates might be difficult to work with
What Chemistry Style to use for FUT Birthday Icon Rivaldo?
The suggested Chemistry Style for FUT BIrthday Icon Rivaldo is: ENGINE. The +4 Pace and the +5 Passing boosts are very good but the most significant change is the +8 boost in Balance bringing it up to 88 and doing the most to compensate for his drawbacks.
FUT Birthday Icon Rivaldo: Complete or Yeet?
The SBC is very expensive right now and the card does have a few drawbacks but he is a card that is definitely in the elite tier of FIFA attackers. Given that you can grind him out over 91 days and how good the card itself is makes the SBC worth it. My verdict: Complete!
