One of the greatest Left-Backs to ever grace the Premier League and possibly the sport of Football, the former Arsenal Invincible and UCL winner for rivals Chelsea, Ashley Cole has his Team of the Year Icon SBC available in FIFA Ultimate Team now!
The ex AS Roma star has a fairly expensive SBC coming in at a price of 223.9K coins and needs 6 segments to unlock the card.
The card is fantastic with great meta characteristics such as:
- 91 Acceleration and 90 Sprint Speed with his Controlled AcceleRATE type as a fullback will make him very fast running up and down the touchline
- Very good Passing stats with 90 Crossing, 87 Short Passing and 83 Long Passing with 84 Curve allowing him to play the ball out from the back or cross the ball in from wide attacking positions
- Great Dribbling stats for a fullback with 83 Agility, 86 Balance, 93 Reactions, 86 Ball Control, 84 Dribbling and 88 Composure making him a very good progressor of the ball despite his Average body type
- Immaculate Defending stats with 92 Interceptions, 94 Defensive Awareness, 92 Standing tackle and 94 Sliding Tackle making him rock solid at the back
- 93 Stamina means he will be able to play 85+ Minutes without needing to be substituted
- 87 Aggression is very good for defending in duels and for latching onto loose balls
- 4-Star Skill moves are good enough for a defender to carry the ball
- High/Medium Workrates are ideal for a balanced fullback
His best position in game will be as an LB in a 4-Back or a wingback in a 5-Back formation. He has very good attacking capabilities with incredible defensive capabilities with the ability to track back if the attack breaks down.
He has a similar player profile to Winter Wildcards Ferland Mendy and Fantasy FUT Angeliño. He has better offensive capabilities than Mendy and better defensive capabilities than Angeliño. They can all lock down that left flank as an overlapping attacker and a defender.
The card does have a few drawbacks such as:
- 82 Vision might be felt if you try to look for over the top through balls
- 70 Heading Accuracy and 82 Jumping makes him poor in the air with his 5’9 height
- 72 Strength is quite low for a defender and he might struggle in duels with stronger players
- 3-Star Weak Foot might be an issue

The suggested Chemistry Style for TOTY Icon Ashley Cole is: ANCHOR. The +4 boost in Pace and +5 boost in Defending maxing them out as well as boosting his Strength and Jumping by +8 making him the best version of himself.

The card is great, amazing stats with a few weaknesses that can be covered up with an Anchor Chemistry Style and is well priced given his own price 24 hours before the SBC was released makes this worth it. My verdict: Complete!
