He has some good key stats and characteristics such as:
- 97 Acceleration and 98 Sprint Speed with the Explosive AcceleRATE type and his Lean body type makes him feel very rapid in game
- 91 Positioning, 86 Finishing, 92 Shot Power and 88 Long Shots alongside his Outside Foot Shot Trait makes him a good shooting option both inside and outside the box
- Decent ball distribution capabilities with 86 Vision, 88 Crossing, 85 Short Passing and 83 Long Passing with 90 Curve
- Very good Dribbling stats with 97 Agility, 90 Balance, 92 Reactions, 93 Ball Control, 96 Dribbling and 90 Composure with the Flair Trait making him very responsive on the ball
- 97 Stamina means he won’t need to be substituted for the entire 90 minutes
- 80 Strength and 85 Aggression gives him a good chance of holding his own in a physical duel with fullbacks
- 4-Star Skill Moves and 4-Star Skill Moves are decent enough to operate as an attacker
- High/High workrates will make him good as a come back on defence wide player
His ideal position in game would be as a wide CAM in the 4-2-2-2 or the 4-2-3-1. HIs stats and workrates allow him to play in those positions fairly naturally without needing additional instructions and he will excel at cutting inside to find the pass or the shot on goal.
He has a very similar player profile to that of Team of the Season Gabriel Martinelli. The shared body type and characteristics allow both of them to be very responsive, cut-inside wide midfielders.
A drawback of this card is that at 5’9 with 57 Heading Accuracy he will not be a good option in the air.
What Chemistry Style to use for Team of the Season Raphinha?
The suggested Chemistry Style for Team of the Season Raphinha is: ENGINE. The boost in Pace and Passing just adds to his already strong ball distributing capabilities and the +8 Balance allows him to fully utilise his high Dribbling and beat defenders.
Team of the Season Raphinha: Complete or Yeet?
The card is good but given the amount of options available to us right now he ends up being very mediocre which makes his premium price tag lean towards the overpriced mark. Given that his closest alternative is much cheaper means that this SBC is not worth it. My verdict: YEET!
