Welcome to this week's Team of the Week predictions, another wild weekend of football means plenty of inform candidates.
Standouts this week could include Serie A's Rabiot, Barella and Tomori, as well as the Premier League's Kulusevski and Fernandez.
First lets take a look at the Starting XI and why they've been included, and then we'll be moving on to the bench options.
TOTW 12 Predicted Starting XI
GK: Alban Lafont (Nantes) - 78 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Chevalier was named keeper of the week once again in Ligue 1 but Lafont also received an 8/10 from L’equipe and thus is a strong candidate for TOTW 12. The Frenchman made a total of six saves to keep a clean sheet during a 1-0 win.
LWB: Przemyslaw Frankowski (Lens) - 79 OVR -> 86 OVR:
One of the only intriguing cards of the week comes with Frankowski, reliant on a featured boost that is. The Polish defender found the net twice as Lens battled their way to a 3-2 win over Lyon.
CB: Fikayo Tomori (AC Milan) - 84 OVR -> 86 OVR:
EA need something to spice TOTW 12 up with limited big-name options presenting themselves. Tomori could help to do that after he scored one of Milan’s three during a 3-1 win over Frosinone.
RB: Kieran Trippier (Newcastle) - 85 OVR -> 87 OVR:
Since the Newcastle takeover, it remains Trippier who has been the most influential signing for them. The English veteran continues to impress down the right flank. His latest performance saw him record an assist during Newcastle’s 1-0 win over Manchester United.
CM: Nicolo Barella (Inter) - 86 OVR -> 88 OVR:
This is a bit of a risk with Barella featuring in TOTW 10 but with a serious lack of decent options, EA may overlook the two-week gap to include Barella. The Italian was named POTW after a goal and an assist helped Inter to a 3-0 away win over Napoli.
CM: Adrien Rabiot (Juventus) - 84 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Rabiot was among the most selected options for the Radioactive Maestro evolution and those who went down that route will be regretting their decision now with Rabiot set to receive an IF for his goal and assist performance for Juventus this weekend.
CAM: Gabriel Veiga (Al-Ahli) - 78 OVR -> 83 OVR:
The Saudi division seems to be among EA’s favourites this season with an influx of promotional items coming from the division. Another couple look set to be on the way this week with the first being Veiga. The Spaniard scored twice and assisted another two as Al-Ahli cruised to a 6-0 win.
CM: Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea) - 83 OVR -> 86 OVR:
Chelsea made a meal of their match with Brighton after a phenomenal start they conceded and saw red just before the break. An Enzo brace ended up securing the three points via a 3-2 win.
CAM: Dejan Kulusevski (Tottenham) - 81 OVR -> 85 OVR:
Playing centrally makes this potential IF more exciting and after a goal and an assist within a 3-3 draw with City the Swede could make that prospect a reality. Tottenham’s form has dipped since multiple injuries struck so a draw with City could be the confidence they need to get back on track.
ST: Aleksandar Mitrovic (Al-Hilal) - 79 OVR -> 86 OVR:
When EA release a showdown SBC it's often the case that an IF occurs the week after. Mitrovic stands out from the latest fixture with his brace helping secure a 3-0 win for the table toppers. A featured upgrade would result in yet another usable option in the division.
ST: Ada Hegerberg (Lyon) - 89 OVR -> 90 OVR:
With Hegerberg’s initial issues seemingly fixed within the game, it opens the door for EA to award her an IF this week. The Norwegian scored three times to secure Norway’s first win of their Uefa Nations campaign.
TOTW 12 Predicted Subs & Reserves
LB: Ryan Hollingshead (LAFC) - 71 OVR -> 83 OVR:
LAFC booked their spot in the MLS final with a 2-0 win over Houston Dynamo. Hollingshead scored one of the two goals and historically EA have awarded an IF for both the SF and final of this competition.
RW: Romain Del Castillo (Brest) - 73 OVR -> 83 OVR:
There were a few 8/10’s awarded from L’equipe this week and most should end up making EA’s side. Castillo’s brace for Brest makes him a strong candidate despite being a silver initially.
CAM: Florian Niederlechner (Hertha Berlin) - 72 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Hertha recorded their first win in four with a convincing 5-1 win over Elversberg. Niederlechner, who played slightly off the striker scored three of those five securing his place in the prediction.
CAM: Sharon Beck (Koln) - 79 OVR -> 83 OVR:
The final addition from Uefa Nation qualifiers comes with Israel’s Beck. Israel recorded two wins over the week, with Beck being involved in both. Firstly with a hat trick before then scoring two in the second. With five goals over two matches, surely she ends up in EA’s side.
ST: Sabin Merino (Racing de Ferrol) - 68 OVR -> 83 OVR:
A nine-goal spectacle occurred between Racing and Albacete on Sunday with the hosts coming out on top 5-4. Merino scored three of those fives making him a strong candidate for TOTW 12.
ST: Vincent Vermeij (Dussledorf) - 68 OVR -> 83 OVR:
The second player to make it from Germany’s second division comes with Vermeij. The Dutchman claimed POTW from Kicker after his treble during Dussledorf’s 5-0 win away at Nurnberg.
ST: Ferdy Druijf (Zwolle) - 69 OVR -> 83 OVR:
Druijf recorded one of the highest VI ratings you will see this season with an 8.5. The Dutchman came off the bench to score three times helping Zwolle to a straightforward 5-0 win.
