TOTW 24 Predicted Starting XI

TOTW 24 looks to be a rather mediocre one, with a couple of big names and some respectable featured additions, but as a whole slightly underwhelming. Headlining the side, we have Eze’s NLD brace, De Jong’s masterclass in the middle, and a second IF for Quinones.

GK: Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace) - 81 OVR -> 85 OVR:

The goalkeeper option looks set in stone this week and while the Premier League often gets snubbed in this position I find it difficult to see Henderson missing out. Making several key saves, alongside a penalty stop, Henderson ensured Palace came away with all three points via a 1-0 win over Wolves.

LB: Matteo Ruggeri (Atletico Madrid) - 75 OVR -> 84 OVR:

Defensive options were few and far between and all three starting defenders are somewhat of a punt this week as a result. The first is Ruggeri, who provided two assists during Atletico Madrid's 4-2 win over Espanyol, who are tumbling down the table and are now winless in eight matches.

CB: Matthias Ginter (Freiburg) - 82 OVR -> 86 OVR:

Onto a couple of Bundesliga selections now, with both defenders and Bundesliga options being few and far between it made sense to take the punts in this area. The first is Ginter, who scored one of Freiburg's two goals as they secured a 2-1 win over struggling Gladbach.

RB: Josip Stanisic (Bayern Munich) - 78 OVR -> 87 OVR:

With a featured IF already to his name this Stanisic card could be very usable indeed, especially should he have a CB secondary position. The Croatian was named MOTM after his assist and all round performance during Munich's hard fought 3-2 home win over Frankfurt.

LM: Nico O'Reilly (Man City) - 73 OVR -> 86 OVR:

The Premier League usually sees a featured IF given now that there are four per week. This week’s option is seemingly straightforward, with O'Reilly scoring both City goals as they beat Newcastle 2-1. Playing in the more advanced LM role, O'Reilly continues to show great maturity for his age, which has seen him earn a lot of minutes under Pep this season.

CAM:Eberechi Eze (Arsenal) - 83 OVR -> 88 OVR:

Eze made headlines in the summer for leaving the Tottenham deal in the final moments to join rivals Arsenal. He made the situation worse by scoring a hat trick in the first fixture this season. He’s been very quiet for Arsenal since then but made the starting line-up this weekend when the pair faced off again. Eze stood out once again, scoring two of Arsenal's four as they continued their bragging rights against their rivals.

CDM:Frenkie De Jong (Barcelona) - 87 OVR -> 88 OVR:

With Osasuna shocking Real Madrid this weekend, Barcelona take the lead in the La Liga title race after their comfortable 3-0 win over Levante. De Jong excelled in that match, scoring one of their three goals and controlling the game from the middle of the park throughout.

RW:Domenico Berardi (Sassuolo) - 82 OVR -> 87 OVR:

Berardi's legacy at Sassuolo is among the best in the current game. The 31-year-old has only ever played for Sassuolo and continues to be their key player. He added another two goals to his tally this weekend, helping them secure all three points with a 3-0 win over Verona.

RW: Iago Aspas (Celta Vigo) - 83 OVR -> 87 OVR:

Aspas is another player who will be regarded as a legend for his club, this time at Celta Vigo. Although he had spells away with both Liverpool and Sevilla, he is now approaching the 500-game mark for the club, for which he has now surpassed 200 goals. Coming off the bench this weekend, he scored both Vigo goals as they beat Mallorca 2-0.

ST: Julian Quinones (Al-Qadisiyah) - 80 OVR -> 88 OVR:

Although there is only a five-week gap between this potential IF and Quinones’ previous inclusion, considering he scored three goals I feel it will be enough for an inclusion. The Mexican striker’s treble helped secure a 4-2 away win, as their recent form has developed them into title contenders.

ST: Tabitha Chawinga (Lyonnes) - 85 OVR -> 87 OVR:

Lyonnes continued their unbeaten campaign, now at sixteen matches without a loss, with a 6-2 away win over Marseille. Chawinga was heavily involved in the match, recording two goals and two assists. A couple of other options were available for selection, but when a striker gets four goal involvements, you can’t really look elsewhere.

TOTW 24 Starting XI Prediction

TOTW 24 Predicted Subs & Reserves

CB: Mariano Troilo (Parma) - 66 OVR -> 84 OVR:

Parma recorded one of numerous upsets in Serie A this weekend, with their central defender, Troilo, scoring the only goal of the game. Away at AC Milan, this result could easily be the final blow to AC’s title hopes, with Inter now sitting ten points clear at the top. Troilo should be a straightforward addition to the side.

CDM: Mahdi Camara (Rennes) - 78 OVR -> 86 OVR:

There were limited options that looked worthy of a featured IF this week in terms of the type of players EA usually goes for. Camara is one, however, after the Frenchman scored twice from CDM for Rennes during a 3-0 away win over Auxerre. With respectable base stats on his card, a featured upgrade could easily make him very usable.

CM: Bryan Cristante (Roma) - 80 OVR -> 87 OVR:

With three of the four sides around them dropping points this weekend, Roma's 3-0 win over Cremonese means they now sit in third position, four points off second. Cristante was pivotal during their latest win, both scoring once and assisting another to be named MOTM by Gazzetta.

LW: Rodrigo Zalazar (Braga) - 79 OVR -> 84 OVR:

The Portuguese league is a division I have not given enough preference to in the past, with EA consistently including players from it most weeks. Zalazar is an easy option for TOTW 26, though, after the Uruguayan scored twice and assisted another during Braga's 3-2 home win over Vitoria.

ST: Ludovic Ajorque (Brest) - 77 OVR -> 85 OVR:

Ligue 1 offered the weakest candidates from the top divisions this week, but as is usually the case, I would still expect a couple of additions to the side. One of those should be Ajorque. The Frenchman scored twice for Brest as they beat Marseille 2-0, with his performance earning an 8/10 from L’Équipe, which was the joint highest of the week.

ST: Aral Simsir (Midtjylland) - 73 OVR -> 85 OVR:

There were a few originally silver cards with potential SIFs this week, one of those being Simsir and probably the best option in that category. With two goals and two assists, the Turkish forward was pivotal for Midtjylland as they won 4-0 away at Silkeborg.

ST: Dayro Moreno (Once Caldas) - 75 OVR -> 85 OVR:

At the age of forty, it’s impressive that Moreno is still playing top-division football, regardless of the country. What’s more impressive, however, is just how well he’s started the 2026 campaign. Two goals and an assist in their latest fixture continued that early form, putting Once Caldas in third after the opening eight matches.

CB: Daniel Munie (San Jose) - 61 OVR -> 84 OVR:

With the resumption of the MLS this weekend, I am certain that EA will include a player from the division in TOTW 24. There were a few routes for them to take, but Munie is the easiest to fit into the side and probably the most deserving as well. Scoring two of San Jose's three goals alongside keeping a clean sheet, he was the key player in their 3-0 home win over Kansas City.

CAM: Jack Payne (Colchester) - 65 OVR -> 84 OVR:

There were a lot of options, as is often the case within the English lower leagues this week, but for me I have to go with Colchester’s Payne. Playing a CAM role, the Englishman scored three of their four goals as they secured a 4-1 home win over Barnet.

ST: Emile Nautnes (Madrid CFF) - 74 OVR -> 84 OVR:

Madrid CFF got back to winning ways this weekend in style, putting five past Alhama without response. Both forwards scored twice and assisted another during the victory, but with Nautnes being awarded MOTM, I would expect her to be the player getting the nod from EA come Wednesday.

ST: Thorgan Hazard (Anderlecht) - 73 OVR -> 84 OVR:

Largely in the shadow of his older brother Eden, Thorgan’s career largely went under the radar, but the Belgian was a very good footballer. Still playing, now in his home country of Belgium for Anderlecht, he found the back of the net three times as Anderlecht secured a 4-2 away win over Waregem.

ST:Rilind Nivokazi (Sion) - 64 OVR -> 84 OVR:

Nivokazi had been on a bit of a goal drought, not scoring in nine competitive matches prior to Sion's match against Young Boys this weekend, but the Kosovan striker ended that run in style, scoring three times to secure a 3-1 home win.
