Here are the best players for this evolution slot:
1. Patrick Vieira
A budget-friendly alternative to his high-end SBC version, Vieira’s upgraded 4 Star Skill Move and Weak Foot combo, and +4 Pace make him a more dominant and versatile defensive midfielder. Plus, the big boost to passing, dribbling and shooting remove much of his base versions attacking limitations.
2. Gareth Bale
While the stat boosts from this evolution aren't hugely helpful, the upgrade from 3 to 4 Star Weak Foot makes this an almost must-do option for anyone who has the untradeable version or doesn't want to go all out for the TOTY Icon.
3. Lilian Thuram
Like Vieira, the sizeable upgrade to his passing and dribbling is very useful. This, combined with the +1 boost to both Skill Moves and Weak Foot massively enhances Thuram's attacking threat.
4. Rio Ferdinand
Plus 4 pace is a huge upgrade for Ferdinand, pushing him back into the Meta CB category. Already benefiting from the highly valued Anticipate+, the passing, dribbling and pace boost are very much worthwhile.
5. Franck Ribery
Another player benefiting more from one significant upgrade, this time in shooting. The +5 to shooting might be worth the significant overall boost considering he isn't very likely to be eligible for other evolutions for a while anyway.
Is the Iconic Rise Evolution worth it?
Maybe! If you have a player who fits this evolution and will benefit form the boosts then probably yes. However, you may find the player can be evolved in other non-Icon specific evolutions moving forward, typically the max-. So you might be better off waiting.
