EA FC 27 early access opens at midnight tonight, UK time. If you play the first 17 matches in the right order, you can start the year with Ones to Watch Savio, better known as Savinho, around 2,000 SP, roughly 25,000 coins, 10 Gallery Tokens and a run of packs, including a 15x 75+ LaLiga Gold Players Pack. Everything here is untradeable.
The route is the five Ones We Watched challenges, played back to back. They are single-player Live Events against the AI. Kick Off lets you choose the difficulty yourself; after that the difficulty is in the name: Semi-Pro, Professional, World Class, then Legendary. Finish all five and the Completionist group hands over Savio, an 83-rated RW.

Before your first match
Pick your league carefully. The first screen in Ultimate Team asks you to choose a league pairing, and it locks which four Foundations players you can earn and which league your Foundations packs come from. You cannot change it later. Our advice is LaLiga with the Premier League close behind, and the full comparison is in our starter league guide.
Start the Intro to Evolutions EVO. The Intro to Evolutions EVO takes an RB rated 75 or lower and turns him into a 79 with a Wingback+ role. It needs seven games played, so put him in your squad from the first Kick Off Challenge match and leave him there. He will be finished before you reach World Class. Completing this EVO is also an objective requirement, so it is worth doing even if you never use the player.
The 17-game route
Play the challenges in this order. Set Kick Off to whatever difficulty you like; from Semi-Pro on, each one is harder than the last, and the Completionist coins go up with the difficulty.

Three things to know before you start:
- Legendary is the hard part. Four wins from four against Legendary AI, with five goals across them. Build the best squad you can from the earlier packs before you go in, and use the 15x LaLiga pack as the payoff, not the preparation.
- The World Class "Pep's Domination" task also unlocks an EVO. Completing it gives you the Pinged Pass objective Evolution.
- Finesse goals in World Class need two in each of three matches, not two in total. Line up an outside-of-the-box finesse specialist and take shots early.
Finish the Foundations objectives while you're there
Two of the Foundations groups need almost no extra play. First Team Dreams needs three SBC groups completed, including Getting Started and Bronze Upgrade, and pays out the LB for your league and 400 SP. Rising Through the Ranks is club maintenance, which includes changing your team name, for 250 SP and a 2x 80-83 Gold Players Pack from your league. Your first Live Events match should also clear "Lace 'em Up" in The Journey Begins, which is the CB.
The SBCs and the team name can be done on the Web App or Companion App before the game even installs. The 17 matches need the game itself.
Where the coins and SP come from
The Completionist group pays 2,500 coins for Semi-Pro, 4,000 for Professional, 4,500 for World Class and 5,000 for Legendary, which is 16,000 on its own. The Kick Off Challenge adds 500, and the rest of the 25,000 comes from match rewards and Foundations. The 2,000 SP is roughly 1,200 from objectives, including 400 from First Team Dreams and 250 from Rising Through the Ranks, and 800 from the matches themselves.
How to start EA FC 27 FAQ
Is OTW Savio tradeable? No. Every reward in the Ones We Watched challenges and the Foundations objectives is untradeable.
Do the challenges have to be played in order? The game does not force it, but each difficulty is a separate objective with its own squad rule, and the packs from the easier ones are what you use to build a squad for Legendary.
How long do I have? The Ones We Watched challenges are listed as expiring about a month after launch. Check the objective pages for the live countdown.
Can I do any of this on the Web App? The SBCs and the team name change, yes. The matches need the console or PC game, which opens for early access at midnight tonight UK time and for everyone on Friday 25 September.
How do Ones to Watch players upgrade? Savio's card goes up in two ways. He gets a +1 OVR upgrade each time he receives a performance-based item in FC 27 Ultimate Team, such as Team of the Week, Player of the Month or Star Performer. He also gets a one-time "Wins to Watch" upgrade if his team wins 3 of its next 6 domestic league games from 18 September, whether or not he plays in them. Upgrades are +1 OVR at a time, so the card does not jump to match the stats of his highest-rated TOTW, POTM or Star Performer item.
