The English forward’s SBC is very expensive, coming in at a price of 699.5K coins and needs 4 segments to unlock the card.
The card has some good stats and characteristics such as:
- 95 Acceleration and 87 Sprint Speed with his Explosive AcceleRATE type make him very rapid over short distances
- Decent Shooting with 93 Positioning, 89 Finishing, 93 Shot Power and 87 Long Shots
- Very good central ball distribution with 94 Vision, 94 Short Passing and 90 Long Passing
- Very responsive and nimble on the ball with 97 Agility, Balance and Ball Control, 93 Dribbling, 89 Reactions and 91 Composure with his Lean body type and Flair Trait
- 97 Stamina means you won’t need to substitute him unless the game goes to extra time
- 4-Star Skill Moves and Weak Foot are decent for a midfielder
- High/High workrates are good if you use him as an LM
His ideal position in game will be as a central CAM in a 4-2-3-1, 4-3-3(4) or the 3-5-2. In a free roam role where he can occupy any part of the central attacking midfield, drifting wide or staying central and being the focal playmaker of the team.
He has a similar player profile to that of Team of the Season Gabriel Martinelli. With their high Pace, Passing and Dribbling as well as good shooting inside the box they can weave their way through defenders from out wide or centrally, play the final ball or put it in the back of the net themselves.
The card has a few drawbacks such as:
- 84 Crossing and 81 Curve hinder his ball distribution from the wide areas
- His workrate isn’t good for his ideal in game role
- Being 5’7 with very low heading accuracy and jumping means he has no aerial presence
- 60 Strength and 76 Aggression means he will be easily pushed off the ball by defenders

The suggested Chemistry Style for Showdown Phil Foden is: HUNTER. He needs the +8 Sprint Speed to utilise the full range of his rapid pace and the shooting stats are helped by the boost as well.
Showdown Phil Foden: Complete or Yeet?
At this stage in the game, a card like this needs a bigger boost, better stats, more traits and 5-Stars in either Weak Foot or Skill Moves to warrant this price. Even though he will very likely get the +2 it still won’t be much better than his closest alternatives that are almost the cost of the SBC which is why this is not worth it. My verdict: YEET!
