How Fantasy FC Upgrades Work
Upgrades are based on the player's (or club's) performance over the next 4 domestic league games starting from their release date.
Regular Player Upgrade Path
- Club wins 6 points in next 4 league games: +1 OVR and all Roles++
- Club scores 10+ goals in next 4 league games: One face stat boosted to 99
- ATT/MID scores 1 Goal or Assist | DEF/GK achieves 1 Clean Sheet (60+ mins): +1 PlayStyle+ and +1 base PlayStyle
- If the player already has 2 PlayStyles+: receives +2 base PlayStyles instead.
- ATT/MID achieves 6 Attacking Actions | DEF/GK achieves 12 Defensive Actions in next 4 league games: 5-Star Skill Moves or 5-Star Weak Foot
Fantasy Hero Upgrade Path
Heroes rely entirely on their associated club's performance. They do not have the individual performance upgrades.
- Club wins 6 points in next 4 league games: +1 OVR and Role++
- Club scores 10+ goals in next 4 league games: One face stat boosted to 99
Seasonal Upgrades
These apply to both regular Fantasy FC players as well as heroes.
- Club wins Domestic League: +1 OVR and +1 PlayStyle+
- Club wins Main Domestic Cup: +1 PlayStyle+ and +2 base PlayStyles
Note: If a player already has 3 PlayStyles+, any further PlayStyle+ upgrade is replaced by a regular base PlayStyle.
Upgrade Rules & FAQ
Here are the specific rules you need to know, defined by EA:
- Opta Data Only: Only goals, assists, and actions officially awarded by Opta count.
- Domestic Only: Only domestic league games count for the 4-match upgrades. Cup games only count for the "Main Domestic Cup" seasonal upgrade.
- Participation: Players do not need to play to earn the "Team Wins" or "Team Goals" upgrades.
- Clean Sheet Rule: A player earns the Clean Sheet upgrade if they play at least 60 minutes and their team keeps a clean sheet.
- If subbed OFF after 60 mins while 0-0, they get the upgrade even if the team concedes later.
- If sent OFF (Red Card) after 60 mins and the team concedes, they do not get the upgrade.
- Action Definitions:
- Attacking Actions: Shots on Target & Key Passes (Assists count as Key Passes).
- Defensive Actions: Saves, Clearances, Blocks & Interceptions.
- PlayStyle Caps:
- If a player already has 2 PlayStyles+ and earns a specific upgrade, they receive 2 regular PlayStyles instead.
- If a player has 3 PlayStyles+ and earns a seasonal upgrade, they receive 1 regular PlayStyle.
Fantasy FC League: Schedule & Rewards
The Fantasy FC League is a limited-time mode launching February 22. It features 20 Challenge rewards, including Packs, Evolutions, and players.
- Format: 24 total entries available across three drops.
- Win Reward: Every win unlocks a new reward tier.
- Top Prize: Reach 20 Wins to unlock Fantasy FC Víctor Ibarbo.
- Warning: Unused entries do not carry over to the next refresh—use them or lose them.

Fantasy Premier League x Fantasy FC
EA has teased a crossover event for Matchweek 29. Select players will receive upgrades in Ultimate Team based on their points haul in the official Fantasy Premier League (FPL). More details will be revealed next week.

- Fantasy FC Cup: A friendly mode with unlimited entries running for two weeks.
- Rule: "Long Range" mode (goals from distance count double).
- Reward: Unlock Fantasy FC Hidemasa Morita by completing objectives.
- World Tour Silver Superstars (Week 2): A France ’98 themed mode launching in Week 2 with themed rewards.
- Ultimate Gauntlet 12 (Week 2): Launching in Week 2, offering Fantasy FC Odsonne Édouard as a reward.
