The Spain and RCD Espanyol man can be unlocked through the “FUT Birthday Objective Player” objective. He is fairly easy to unlock!
He has a lot of key meta characteristics in game such as:
- 91 Acceleration and 86 Sprint Speed makes him pretty quick in game with his Controlled AcceleRATE type
- With 91 Positioning, Finishing and Shot Power his shooting inside the box is immaculate
- 83 Vision and 90 Short Passing allows for quick passes and link-up play
- 91 Reactions, 90 Ball Control and 90 Dribbling allow him to utilise Skill Moves effectively
- With 99 Jumping, 99 heading Accuracy at 6’4 with the Power Header Trait he will be incredible in the air heading in goals from set pieces and high balls into the box
- 90 Strength with his High and Average+ body type make him a very large presence on the pitch
- With a 5-Star Skill Moves and 4-Star Weak Foot he can make the most out of his Dribbling stats since the speed and length of animation of skill moves is determined by Dribbling stats
- He has High/Medium workrates which are very good for a Striker
His ideal position in game is as a single target man striker in a 4-3-3 or a 5-4-1. He lives for the crosses from wide areas because he can meet them with such power and precision.
He shares a similar player profile to Fantasy FUT Hero Peter Crouch. Tall, strong headers with 5-Star Skill moves to make a truly unique profile of strikers.
He has a few drawbacks such as:
- 82 Agility and 80 Balance makes him clunky with his body type
- 80 Stamina means he will need to be substituted on the 65 minute mark
- 76 Aggression means he won’t react quickly to loose balls and 50/50’s
- 83 Composure while not too low can still make him miss shots/passes if pressured by a strong defender

The suggested Chemistry Style for FUT Birthday Joselu is: ENGINE. The +4 Pace combined with the +5 Passing boost and most importantly the +4 Agility boost and the +8 Balance and Dribbling boosts make him feel as smooth as he can in game bringing the best out of him.
